For those who have been pleading with me to post the Al Justain photos…your wait is over. Al with friends.
In this first photo the keen viewer will recognize Donald G. Schnabel on the right. No idea who the other people are, though I'm guessing the woman with the sunglasses is Al's significant other.

These two photos were taken in Manama, Bahrain in February 1957.
In the coming weeks there will be another Al Justain photo featuring Al with a donkey and a gas station. But don't go begging me to post it. Be patient. All Al in time.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "fiery redhead" was Mrs. Schnabel. Daughter Betty was a redhead too.
ReplyDeleteI wondered that too, but I don't think so. I'll have to dig out what photos I have to see if there is a close enough resemblance. I have photos of her young and then old, nothing really in-between.
DeleteYour post 8/1/14 - MADRID in February 1956 may also have the "mystery" Al and "spouse".
ReplyDeleteI went back and looked at that slide really large and that's not Al. It will be interesting to see as I go through all the slides if Al ever shows up again. Like I said, I have at least one more shot of Al.
