Just because I publish a book about one of my collecting categories doesn't mean I don't still keep an eye open for more vintage snapshots to add. A category is never complete, it evolves. So I was happy to find two snapshots of one woman cutting cakes in 1968.

I would think cupcakes would be a subcategory, though it might be labeled "stingy" since cutting a cupcake in half, or quarters, or into crumbs just seems to cut against the grain. I will however say that recently several muffins were shared amongst several family members by the use of a sharp knife so that everyone got a taste of what the other was having. Long story short…I haven't a clue.
