My dog of 16 years was put down last fall. He had a brain tumor, and after caring for him for so long it was very hard to lose him. But I now have a puppy who has the nickname Mr. Wiggles. He looks nothing like the Wiggles in this photo, but then I don't look like Edna either.

Losing a pet is so heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteSo is losing one's youth in a way. This is an adorable photo capturing a "better time".
Yes, a whole that even a new pup can't fill.
DeleteI hope Mr Wiggles provides as much fun and love as Edna's talented dog.
ReplyDeleteMr. Wiggles is a challenge. He smiles as he shows me the big hole he's chewed in the blanket my mother crocheted when I was a child.
DeleteHow fun to see this photo. My mother's name was Edna. She was born in 1920 and I have some photos of her dressed like this... that looks like it could be her. And she had a little dog that looked kind of like this one, only smaller.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your loss, it does leave one empty.
I'm trying to remember where I got this shot. I think it was at an antique store for about 25 cents. Even though it's probably not your mom, it's good it made you think of her. That's all a mom wants.
DeleteNo, it is not her... but it did make me think of her... and that is always nice.
DeleteYes, that makes it special.
