The little row boat was named Osprey. Now, did they row from the yacht to shore? Probably never know.

Lovely lighting in the bottom image. It is very romantic.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice series of tattered shots.
DeleteOh, this is interesting to see these pics, after yesterday's. That is some yacht.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. I will need to look more closely at some of the faded images in the album. These two were quite faded.
DeleteMaybe with luck someone can ID the bigger boat.
ReplyDeleteWhile I do not think the yacht in the photo is this one:

This is quite fascinating. It does look very similar. I will have to do some more searching through the album. Really fascinating. With the Bigelow connection….
DeleteTerrific photos that do indeed answer questions and yet create new ones. And the steam yacht does seems a very close likeness. Good work, I.G.
ReplyDeleteBut what are they looking at? Not whales, as we know from the other photo that they are very close to a wooded shore. Bears? Eagles? Now I'm humming the theme to Gilligan's Island.
Watching the Professor try to make a radio out of a beaver, a ladies shoe, and some bark?
