Colorful LIL
I always find hand tinting of photos fascinating. Sometimes it's so bad that it makes a bad photo good. Sometimes it's a stunning piece of workmanship.
On photobooth Lil I'm fascinated by the choice that was made to put background color on the left, but nowhere else. Conscious artistic decision or run out of paint?

DeleteBack in the 1930s and '40s just about every household had a coloring set for hand-coloring black and white pictures. The cheapest coloring sets, which were similar to children's vintage water-coloring sets and widely available, had only a handful of colors but the more expensive sets had a vast range of colors. My mom, a young adult in the 1930s, often had several prints of certain pictures made and then colored each one differently.
