Mr. Roberts SUIT
Can't pull anything over on the Sepia Saturday crowd.

Thought so!
ReplyDeleteMy first introduction to Mr. Roberts. He seems like quite a guy!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. He was an adventurous man.
DeleteI'm glad to know I was correct, along with Marilyn & Wendy. :) Compare that diving suit with the wetsuits of today. Imagine they weighed alot more back then and were uncomfortable to wear.
ReplyDeleteThe ultimate occupational photo! The Fay Wray movie excerpt was a hoot, too.
ReplyDeleteThey still wear suits like this on occassion. More modern and perhaps more sexy, but the same in concept.
ReplyDeleteLooks like he has the lead boots on. "I want to get into your diving suit" - LOL :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! I was actually correct. Even down to the diving bell helmet...and no, I didn't check this before guessing on your post yesterday. :) Thanks for the fun guessing game!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic!! He seemed a little too cheerful for my taste here. I don't swim, so water is lovely but definitely not MY element, so, the idea of ending up at the bottom is not a comfortable one.
ReplyDeleteBut he looks great there. Better him than me, I say...
;)~

I'm glad you showed the whole photo. It's a good one, and I didn't know what diving shoes looked like.
ReplyDeleteI imagine we're already approaching the time when few people will recognize the old diving gear. Sepia Saturday is fortunate that we aren't just a bunch of young chicks.
