A RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE

For some, selling real estate is apparently a religious experience.

Somewhere in Arizona a long time ago.

  2. And don't you love the dripping letters? Sort of vampirish.

  3. It gets harder to relate to those times. The life's goal then was simply to have a paid for home so you could retire. Now the weekly grocery bill is more than the house payments of those days.

The first house I investigated with thoughts of buying back in the early '60's was a three bed, two bath front- to- back split level in a nice new neighborhood. It was 13,500 and it wasn’t quite finished by the builders yet.

It was too much for my pockets then. Today, 13, 000 would not make a good down payment on such a house.

In today’s photo the real estate company is hawking 2 bedroom concrete block houses in the Arizona desert. I just can’t keep that in focus.

It’s a good photo. Made me think about things again.
