Thomas Hardy's words seem to fit your photo.

  6. Oh yes, the tv tray and a vinyl couch. Wonder where the bean bag chair was. Sadly I didn't find any other photos from this event. This one will stand or fall on its own.

  7. Ah, I clicked and left my message on picasa. Nonetheless, I AM glad we took no photos of our New Year's toast! We DID open the back door to usher the old year out and the front door to bring in the New Year!

  8. Oh I so like that idea of bringing in the new and ushering out the old through the doors. Great idea.

I instead listened to the flocks of turkeys screaming as they were upset from thire roosts by the midnight fireworks echoing through the valley.

  9. Turkeys - they are definitely not quiet when they fly or screech. It must have been something. Must say that I like fireworks better than shotguns fired into the night sky.

  10. I agree. I was happy this year to not hear any gun fire. That's always insane.
