Seriously, when the preacher said "Do you take this man..." did the bride look into these eyes and think, "Ummmmm...maybe not."
I've never seen eyes like his; they're almost skeletal. And the fact that the bride looks like my best friend's youngest son just adds to the strangeness.

I'm betting the wedding party was pretty wild. What do you think? Don't even get me started about what happened at the bachelor party!
This is my first wedding photo for this month's Sepia Saturday prompt. More to come.
This photo is from Tattered and Lost: Telling Stories.

I don't want to be impolite but he sort of reminded me of Frankenstein...
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I first thought!
DeleteThis would make a great short story - what happened before the wedding - and even better what happened afterwards. A murder mystery comes to mind!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I agree!!
DeleteThose ARE one set of very strange eyes! But she married him so he must have had other qualities about him that made up for his odd eyes. Perhaps he could do funny things with them that made people laugh and making him the life of any party?
ReplyDeleteFrom the look on the brides face I'm wondering if maybe this is he first time she met him. It's odd that none of them are smiling.
DeleteThe best man doesn't look much "healthier" and neither does the bride. The maid of honor looks okay - so I suspect either the lighting was really bad, or they were all sick from something - perhaps TB.
ReplyDeleteWell that adds a whole different perspective doesn't it?
DeleteThe balding pattern on the groom is also strange. It almost looks like he's wearing a balding wig, the way it's lighter above the forehead, but perhaps that's just the reflection. I wonder if they looked at these photos and laughed about how they all look sick and stunned.
ReplyDeleteEven the curtain behind them is all wrong like the groom just pushed it aside and emerged from behind it.
Oh yes, the curtain. Now it's starting to feel like some weird game show.
DeleteThat's too funny.
DeleteHe wasn't much for talk, but she liked the quiet type anyway. He never spoke about his past, so she stopped asking. Maybe after the wedding, maybe with some time alone together he'd change, open up. That's what she hoped. And if he he had a secret, so what? Everyone has secrets. How bad could it be?
ReplyDeleteBad. Very, very bad.
And now it was too late.
Yes! You've nailed it.
DeleteI think the maid of honor's head looks like it was photoshopped in. I hope these people are not even distantly related to you :D
ReplyDeleteNo bloodlines with this gang other than the bride looking like my friend's son, which is weird enough.
DeletePost mortem wedding?
ReplyDeleteOkay, best comment!
DeleteAnyone can take a bad photo, but this certainly wouldn't be one for the family album. Was it a discard that you found somewhere?
ReplyDeleteIt was in a bin at an antique store. Try to imagine it framed and hanging on a bedroom wall. Would have scared the heck out of me each night.
DeleteI'm not surprised you found it in a bin. I wonder did the photographer get a second booking for a christening?
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, can you imagine?
Deleteme thinks, this is a wedding photo to be viewed from afar! For family, that is; us Sepians examine and view with a critical eye.
ReplyDeleteYes, only a mother could love this one.
