Well, HELLO THERE!

"Fancy meeting you here!"

This shot was possibly taken in Baltimore, Maryland. There was a Chevy dealership called Ashley Cheverolet Sales, Inc. You can see their sign on the brick building on the right.

  1. I can just see Batman and Robin climbing the building and chatting with her. "Hello Citizen!"

Baltimore has changed so much in 20-30-40 years this area - if it is Baltimore - no longer even remotely looks like this now.

    1. Ah yes, Batman walking up the wall. I always thought that was so funny.

My memories of Baltimore are from the 50s when we'd drive from the D.C. area to Pennsylvania to my grandparents. I always liked the marble stoops outside the row houses. Then I saw The Wire and thought, "That can't be the same neighborhood."

  2. It's always a bit annoying when you find an interesting old photograph and there isn't quite enough information in it to fill out the story. Good find!

    1. Yes, always looking for details that give away some shred of information. I was very happy to get this one.
