Whenever I see a photograph like this one, I always think of the conversation that preceded the snap. It was some occasion, minor or major, and someone said, "Let's go outside and take a picture. Often no thought was given to the background and often they made it no further than the front steps.
I do always wonder why people don't just get closer. Why shoot the entire body? Why not just get a nice shot of their face. There's just something about it that doesn't get through to people. Get closer! GET CLOSER!
