Charles and Juanita. There are actually three different portraits in this series. They were taken November 1949. By 1950 he's got a new girl named Hattie. This will remain a mystery.

Now, is Charles as you imagined him to be?

    Not quite as I imagined him, but Juanita doesn't look quite the same here either. I can imagine her in some B-movie smoking and throwing a glass of whiskey on somebody.

    Oh yes, I can imagine Juanita in a B-movie. Actually both of them in an old film noir.

    Now I think you can see why I was determined to get this album.
