I've spent over 40...I have to disagree on that. I've spent over 40 years in publishing, many spent doing scholarly work. If I'd had Photoshop back when I was doing image heavy inserts of badly damaged images, it would have made life so much easier. I still have my old box of grayscale paints in the bottom drawer, but would not want to go back to using them.
