There would be tower in the middle of all the fields with rope lines stretching out in all directions across the fields with, I believe, bells hanging off the lines. The lines would be anchored across on the other side of the fields. Then the person in the tower would grab the lines and shake them to keep the birds away.Tattered and Losthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00208918251232477186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2654707306721822289.post-13354302475373783042013-06-28T05:30:26.074-11:002013-06-28T05:30:26.074-11:00I've read stories about the steam trains that ...I've read stories about the steam trains that used to be used on the plantations of Hawaii... and find them fascinating - as did the US service men that saw them while there during WWII.

Thanks for sharing this photo. :)Intense Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08441598926026727682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2654707306721822289.post-56500701686825466072013-06-28T04:44:23.123-11:002013-06-28T04:44:23.123-11:00Wow!
