A lovely if serious faced trio. As a kid I once lived briefly in Junction City, KS which is where Ft. Riley army base is located. I remember lots of limestone for stoops and steps, and lots and lots of bugs too!
I've only been through Kansas a few times and I'm glad I missed the bugs. What I remember were miles of flatness with the huge grain silos off in the distance at Salina. They looked like some sort of massive ship when they were backlit in the late afternoon. And then we got closer and they got bigger and bigger and...

Yes, lots of hair. All that hair! And I always wonder how they got it dry in the winter. I cannot imagine life without a hairdryer.
